Fall in Georgia – The Best Time to Plant (and Move) Shrubs and Trees, and Prepare Soil for Next Year’s Garden (Wednesday, Oct 12, program #52020-04)

While many of us get energized to improve our yards and gardens in the spring, fall is the best time in Georgia to plant (and move) shrubs and trees, as well as prepare soil for next year’s plantings.  Our clay soil is much easier to work with in the fall, and most shrubs and trees will do better when they have the opportunity to get established over the winter.

These classes will be held at the Bill Johnson Community Activity Building a the Roswell Area Park, from 7:00-8:30pm. They are free but pre-registration is required since space is limited.  For more information and to register, stop by the Bill Johnson Community Activity Building at Roswell Area Park or visit www.roswellgov.com.  Select Recreation Program Registration, then "Setup a Household" if you do not have an account, and then "Register for a Program."  When using the online registration system, (1) enter your user name and password, (2) Search by Activity, and then (3) Search by Number (52020).
